General Terms and Conditions

Article 1 – Organization

The lottery is organized by the Parochial Charity Institution (PCI), in collaboration with the Catholic Indonesian Community in Haarlem (KKI Haarlem), statutorily established in Haarlem, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 75324547, hereinafter referred to as "the Organizer".

Article 2 – Purpose of the lottery

The entire proceeds (100%) of the lottery will benefit the operating costs of the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Bavo in Haarlem. The lottery has a purely charitable purpose.

Article 3 – Conditions of participation

  • Participation in the lottery is open to persons aged 18 or over. By purchasing a ticket, the participant declares that he/she meets the minimum age.

  • Participants must enter their full name, email address and telephone number correctly when purchasing. This information will only be used for communication regarding this lottery.

  • The price of one ticket is €2.50

  • Tickets can be purchased via our website (hartvoorbavo.nl). Or during our event on July 13, 2025 until 3:00 PM local time.

  • There is no maximum number of tickets that may be sold per person.

  • Tickets can be purchased through our website or during our events.

  • After receipt of payment, the participant will receive the tickets with corresponding numbers by email, usually within 24 hours.

Article 4 – Minimum sales and cancellation

  • The Organizer aims to sell at least 500 tickets.

  • If it appears before 16:00 on 13 July 2025 that fewer than 500 tickets have been sold, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel the lottery.

  • In case of cancellation, all tickets sold will be fully refunded to the participants within 14 days of the announcement of the cancellation.

  • The cancellation will be announced via our WEBSITE/E-MAIL.

Article 5 – The lottery draw

  • The drawing of the winning tickets will take place on July 13, 2025 at the plebany of St. Bavo Cathedral in Haarlem, under the supervision of an impartial third party.

  • The winners will be announced via our website (hartvoorbavo.nl). The winners will also receive an email from us for confirmation.

  • Winners may be asked to present the email containing the lottery number, digitally or printed, as proof of participation.

  • The organization reserves the right to verify the identity of the winner.

  • No correspondence will be entered into regarding the results.

Article 6 – Prices

  • The prices will be announced later on our website (hartvoorbavo.nl)

  • Prizes are not exchangeable for cash.

  • Winners must collect their prize eventually after 1 month after the draw, in a manner to be agreed with the Organizer. We will send further information via email to contact the Organizer.

Article 7 – Privacy

  • Personal data of participants will only be used for the benefit of the lottery organisation and will not be shared with third parties without permission.

  • The Organizer acts in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Article 8 – Liability

  • The Organizer is not liable for any loss, theft, delays or damage incurred during or as a result of participation in the lottery.

  • Participation is at your own risk.

Article 9 – Supervision and compliance

  • This promotional gambling activity complies with the Code of Conduct for Promotional Gambling as drawn up by the Netherlands Gambling Authority.

  • The Organizer does not require a license from the Gaming Authority, as this activity meets the conditions for an occasional promotional game of chance.

Article 10 – Final provisions

  • These terms and conditions are exclusively governed by Dutch law.

  • By participating in this lottery, the participant agrees to these terms and conditions.

  • In cases not provided for in these conditions, the Organizer shall decide.
